DJI’s newest camera was recently announced on October 11, so the team at We Talk UAV just got their hands on the X7. Here’s a video of We Talk UAV’s first look at the DJI Zenmuse X7 camera:
The X7 has been regarded as a revolutionary camera simply because of its size to performance ratio. The lightweight Super 35mm X7 camera can record videos up to 6K and shoot stills up to 24MP. Its 14 stops of dynamic range ensures exceptional low light performance. One comparable camera in terms of close quality is the $29,500 Red Epic, but that professional camera requires a much larger drone than the Inspire 2.
Is The Price Worth It?
The X7 is geared for professionals rather than the everyday consumer droner. Considering how much more professional productions spend on drones that can fly similar cameras like the Red Epic, an Inspire 2 with an Zenmuse X7 will offer comparable quality but at a much lower price.
DJI is Opening a New Trend
DJI has headed towards creating truly professional, cinema grade cameras, which will hopefully be seen in future drones. The older X5S camera was still considered as a great camera, but the Zenmuse X7 is simply better.
Which Lens Should You Buy?
If you are getting an Inspire 2, then get the X5S or the X7 since the X4S is basically just a Phantom 4 Pro camera.
