JXD 509W Altitude Hold FPV Drone Flight Test Review

0 1,310

The altitude hold feature of this quadcopter makes flying FPV very easy as it automatically maintains a steady altitude without need of pilot input. Find it here http://shrsl.com/?~bsup

– Wifi version offers significant savings vs the 5.8Ghz model (over $30 cheaper).
– Altitude hold feature works very well. It maintains a steady altitude while you maintain focus on flying FPV.
– Reasonably good flight control range at over 80 meters.
– Automatic landing: It automatically descends to a landing at the press of a button, or on low battery.
– Headless mode and one key return features.

– Usable FPV video signal range is significantly less as compared to the more expensive 5.8Ghz model. WiFi FPV video is smooth with not much lag when the quadcopter is close. But it quickly becomes very laggy and choppy with frozen frames when flown at ranges over 30 meters.
– Motors can not be stopped quickly. Concern of motor overheat if motors continue running after a crash.

and here is its flight demonstation.
