Amazing C4022 Panorama Camera for MJX Bugs3 Drone Flight Test Review

0 566

Imagine putting the Google Street View camera on your drone. MJX did just that with this neat camera! Find it here ! https://goo.gl/8udKs8 Details on the camera are published here http://www.mjxrc.net
And here is its app for Android https://goo.gl/fNI8Zd
and for itunes https://goo.gl/Zt4VRi

Pros
– This is a significant advance over current cameras for drones. A true 360 degree panorama camera. It views and records everything 360 degrees around the belly of the aircraft.
– Video is recorded directly to your phone via WiFi, and also recorded to a microSD card in the camera.
– The app allows six different panoramic views including Original, Expanded, 3D VR, 4 Screen, 6 Screen, and Cylinder. Modes can be used and viewed real time in flight, or post flight (such as at home) using the recorded panorama image. Views can be modified via the touch screen. 3D VR also includes use of smartphone G sensors. Insert the phone in VR goggles, and movement of your head will also move the view on the sreen.

Cons
– Data is transmitted via 2.4 Ghz digital WiFi. 2.4 Ghz interference from the quadcopter’s controller will limit maximum range of the camera to about 50 meters. Hopefully future versions of this camera will include 5.8Ghz WiFi to prevent interference.
– Imaging is somewhat blurred. Imaging becames sharper near the center of the panorama. It is hoped that future versions will include a higher resolution sensor to improve this imagery than the current 720p sensor.
