UAV Experts are excited to announce that we have sponsored the FIRST Lego League Robotics team “TLD Enterprise”. The FIRST LEGO League is a competition that challenges kids to think like scientists and engineers, applying STEM concepts in order to solve a problem.
The theme of this season is “into orbit”. Guided by adult Coaches, FIRST LEGO League teams research a real-world problem pertaining to the theme and develop a solution. The teams must design, build, test, and program an autonomous robot using LEGO® MINDSTORMS® technology to solve a set of missions in the Robot Game. During their discovery journey, they develop critical thinking and team-building skills, basic STEM applications, and even presentation skills, as they must present their solutions with a dash of creativity to judges.

A Note From Team TLD Enterprise:
Thanks again so much for sponsoring our FIRST Lego League Robotics team this year! Our team name is “TLD Enterprise” (TLD stands for The Leak Detectors), and the theme this year is “Into Orbit”. It is all about finding and solving problems there are for people during long space exploration missions.
After consulting with experts, and several field trips to planetariums and to the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL, the team chose to address a problem that happened to the International Space Station (ISS) recently. On August 29, there was a leak in the Soyuz capsule and it took 24 hours for the astronauts to locate it.
TLD EnterpriseFirst Lego League Robotics: TLD EnterpriseOur team has designed a system that will quickly pinpoint breaches in the ISS by using technology combining ultrasonic microphones with broken window sensors used in home security systems to triangulate the breach. We will be presenting our project and competing in our first robotics competition on December 8 and will keep you posted on our results.
GOOD LUCK TLD Enterprise!
