With the holidays and the new year right around the corner, UPS has announced updates to its rates and services for 2018.
On December 24th, 2017 customers will see a 4.9% rate increase for UPS® Ground, UPS Air and International services, and UPS Air Freight within and between the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. The dimensional weight divisor for packages less than or equal to one cubic foot in size will be $139 for all U.S. Domestic services subject to Daily Rates or Alaska and Hawaii Rates. Customers can also expect changes in the criteria and pricing for additional handling and large packages with a length exceeding 96 inches or a length plus girth greater than 130 inches.
Customers will see more changes on July 8th, 2018 which include a $90 Large Package Surcharge for any U.S. Domestic package delivered to a residential address, and a $19 additional handling surcharge for any U.S. Domestic package exceeding 70 pounds in actual weight.
